The American Red Cross provides the premier environment for youth and young adults to learn, practice and exemplify humanitarian values. The School & Community Programs mission is to support the American Red Cross through various activities that help prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. The youth workforce carries out service projects in our community to help save and rebuild lives, as well as gain valuable leadership and job skills needed during and after their school careers.
Build long lasting friendships while leaving lasting impressions with the people who need you most in your community. As a Red Cross youth volunteer you can organize other teens and young adults in your community by forming a Red Cross club to support national and international Red Cross programs, coordinate a blood drive program, or become part of the Youth Disaster Action Team. What ever you decide to do, there is something for you!
You can receive valuable training in First Aid, CPR, babysitting, lifeguarding, preparing for a disaster, swimming and water safety. Since the founding of the Junior Red Cross in 1917, youth and the Red Cross have been partners. Get involved with the American Red Cross Youth Services and find out how you can help!
