SIGMA NU FRATERNITY CHAPTER PLEDGES $20,000
TO RED CROSS DISASTER RELIEF EFFORTS:
Challenges Other Greek Houses to Donate
A $20,000.00 donation to the Red Cross’s Disaster Relief Fund will be made by the University of Arkansas’s chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity. The men of Sigma Nu challenge other Greek houses on campus and across the nation to make similar responses.
They suggest that chapters give up one social event and utilize that funding as a donation directly to Red Cross relief efforts, especially in Haiti. Sigma Nu believes that by “throwing a party” away, the Greek community could raise significant funds for the people of Haiti and others in need. Their gift expects to set the stage for other chapters to donate.
A check presentation took place at the Red Cross’s Northwest Arkansas office in Tontitown Thursday. (Please see attached photos.)
